What You Need To Know:

We need maximum laptop power at our next meeting so if you can, PLEASE

BRING YOUR LAPTOP! Also, I'm still not sure which program will be best to

use for this designing (Photoshop?) so we'll have to work that out too!

 

If however, you don't have a laptop (like me ) then all you have to bring

to the next meeting is yourself and your creative thinking!

Issues Discussed

-Improvements in Recycling in Residence

-Students aren't adequately informed about the recycling options

avaiable:what happens to the bottles/paper piled up? etc.

- Is composting possible in residence or in the kitchen?

- Taps running

- heating loss

- greanifying (plant campaign)

- electronics recycling (?)

* the group seemed to come to a consensus that recycling improvement would

be a good issue to address where we might be able to make some changes.

 

Actions Discussed

- "What to recycle" poster- bathroom doors (and other discussed locations

that I wasn't familiar with) :)

- Share box! Encourage recycling/reusing of clothing as well as community

on each floor.

 

Networking!

- Find the office of

sustainability!(http://www.ucalgary.ca/sustainability/contactus/officeofsustainability)

- Maybe we could get some volunteers for our programs/ideas through the

save NRG group in Rez?

- Ask CA's and SR's to determine what there is already, and how to

implement a program we are interested in.
